Catch The Fraudster
A light, game-style program about spotting scams without the stress
This program is for people who want to stay sharp about scams—but would rather play along than sit through a warning lecture.
Set up like a friendly trivia game, Catch the Fraudster invites participants to look at short, realistic scenarios and guess what’s really going on. Is it legitimate? Is it suspicious? Or is it trying just a little too hard? The fun comes from comparing instincts, laughing at how sneaky the tactics are, and realizing just how often scammers reuse the same tricks.
Instead of memorizing scam lists, participants learn to recognize the patterns scammers rely on—urgency, authority, fake familiarity, and “helpfulness” that pressures quick decisions. Each scenario becomes a chance to pause, talk it through, and practice choosing safer next steps before anyone is rushed or rattled.
The tone is upbeat, respectful, and often funny. There’s no shaming, no scare tactics, and no tech rules. Just good conversation, life wisdom, and plenty of “Ah-ha” moments—building confidence in a way that feels enjoyable, not heavy.
What Participants Will Learn
-
- How to spot common scam patterns hiding inside everyday situations
-
- Why urgency, authority, and friendliness are such effective pressure tools
-

Ideal for:
-
- Any age, older adults
